Nikos D. Chatziargyriou is President of the ETIP Smart Network for the Energy Transition (SNET) as of January 2018, and Chairman and CEO of HEDNO, the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator.
Since 1984 he is with the Power Division of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and he is full professor in Power Systems. He is Director of the Energy Systems Laboratory of the NTUA and founder of the “SmartRue” research unit.
He was executive Vice-Chair (2007-2010) and Deputy CEO (2007-2012) of the Public Power Corporation (PPC), Chair of PPC Telecommunications, Vice-Chair of PPC Renewables (2007-2010) and Vice-president of the Centre of Renewable Energy Sources in Greece.
