Monika Štajnarová has worked at The European Consumer Organisation (BEUC) since 2010. Currently, Monika is leading BEUC’s energy team.
During last years, she has been focusing mainly on consumer rights in electricity and gas markets, retail energy market design, energy efficiency and issues related to smart meter roll-out. In the past, Monika was also working on consumer rights in telecom markets, related for instance to broadband access and roaming.
Prior to joining BEUC, Monika worked as a Project coordinator at the Czech Energy Agency and acquired a significant working experience in the energy policy in the Task Force for Energy Security and Nuclear Safety at the European Commission. Monika holds a M.Sc. degree in Economics and Business Administration.
