Emmanouil Voumvoulakis

Emmanouil Voumvoulakis received the diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2003 and obtained a Ph.d in Power Systems from NTUA in 2010. He has been a researcher of the Power Systems Laboratory of NTUA in the areas of Power Systems Dynamic Security, Optimization and Modelling, RES Integration, MicroGrids and Electrical Vehicles impact on power grids. He has participated in several research projects funded by the European Union as well as the industry and has written a variety of journal and conference proceeding papers. He has worked in the Energy Market Observatory of the Foundation of Economic and Industrial Research, assessing the impacts of large scale integration of RES in the Greek energy markets, and in the Public Power Corporation in the fields of long term energy scheduling and non-interconnected islands operation. Currently he is with the Network Planning and Development Section of the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO). He participates in Eurelectric and EDSO Working Groups and in research projects of HEDNO.
